How to check Live Train running status of Indian Railways

The National Train Enquiry System allows you to view the current operating status of Indian Railways trains (NTES). How to do it is as follows:

1. Go to https://enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/mntes/ to access the NTES website.

2. Fill in the "Train Number" field with the train number.

3. From the calendar, choose the departure date.

4. Select "Get Train Running Status" from the menu.

As an alternative, you can use the IRCTC website or mobile app to view the current train status in real time:

1. Open the mobile app or log in to your IRCTC account.

2. From the menu, pick the "Train Schedule" option.

3. Choose the date of travel and input the train number.

4.Click on the "Get Running Status" button to view the live status of the train.

You can also check the train running status by sending an SMS to 139 with the train number as the message.
